Informations for Preparing for State

Our trip to state is coming approaching very quickly. There are several things that the officer team would like to inform students and parents. Along with reading this post, make sure to check out the State Prep Session powerpoint, if you missed club on February 27th.

 

First, please read this parent letter which discusses details about the state trip. We also suggest that you look at this itinerary and packing list ahead of time so you have enough time to purchase items you need for state. The itinerary is tentative and will be updated as we receive further informations from state office. 

 

Second, it a reminder about the dress code. HOSA has very strict guidelines for dress codes and you will not be allowed to enter sessions or your events if you are not in the appropriate dress code. Please double-check that you have clothes that fit the dress code by reviewing the dress for success powerpoint.

 

Third, please make sure that you check the items that you need for your events from your event guidelines. It is not the officer team's responsibility to contact you if you are ready or not. Our chapter will try our best to provide materials that you may need for your events, but you MUST contact an officer about it ahead of time.

Fourth, if you are competing in Clinical Specialty, Health Career Photography, Job Seeking Skills, Public Service Announcement, or Researched Persuasive Writing and Speaking, your portfolios or projects must be uploaded to STEM Premier and the Inglemoor HOSA Google Drive. If you are competing in Prepared Speaking, Healthy Lifestyle, Health Education, Health career display, or Medical Innovation, you must upload your portfolios or works cited page to the Inglemoor HOSA Google Drive. Check out detailed information on the Presentation/Project Events Submission Instructions. 

 

Lastly, please make sure that you have paid you 2nd deposit ($150) and field trip forms. Many students still did not pay their deposits and is delaying our chapter from being able to order event materials for students. Please make sure you do this as soon as possible.

2nd Deposit, Field Trips Forms, Rooming Sheet due Wed, Feb 15th

Please pay your 2nd deposit ($150) to Ms. Heindel and turn in your field trip form into the box in Ms. Heindel's office by Feb 15th, if you are attending state.  Please also fill out the rooming spreadsheet with members that you would like to room with. Each room must have 4 members and cannot be unisex. If you do not fill out the rooming sheet by the 15th, you will be placed randomly.

Resources Updated

Resources for your events have been updated under RESOURCES at our website. Make sure to utilize the correct resources for your event. If you have trouble finding your event resources, please contact officers. We will be more than happy help out.
